Craftsmanship That Defines Quality: How Our Custom Metal Coins & Medals Are Made

Every custom coin and medal we create starts with a simple idea and is transformed into a lasting piece through a series of precise, handcrafted steps. At Fast Marching, we believe the beauty of a great souvenir lies in the craftsmanship, and every detail matters.

Our process begins with design and mold making. Whether you provide a sketch or just a concept, our team turns it into a precise digital file. This file is then used to create a custom mold. For 3D relief pieces, we use CNC engraving to capture every curve and detail, ensuring the final product has depth and texture.

This mold is the foundation of every coin we make, and we inspect it carefully before production begins. Next comes the forming stage. We use high-quality zinc alloy, brass, or iron, depending on your needs. Die-casting or stamping presses shape the metal into the coin or medal form. Our skilled workers monitor this step closely, checking for consistent thickness, smooth edges, and no burrs. This attention to detail ensures that every piece is uniform and ready for the next step.

The most exciting part is coloring and plating. For enamel coins, we fill each color section by hand, layer by layer, before baking to harden the enamel. This gives the coin its vibrant, durable color. For antique finishes, we use a special plating process that adds depth to the raised details, creating that classic, aged look. We offer a full range of finishes: bright gold, silver, antique bronze, gunmetal, and more.

Finally, every piece goes through a final quality check. We inspect the plating, enamel, and engraving to ensure they meet our high standards. We then clean and polish each coin or medal by hand before packing. This commitment to craftsmanship means when you order from us, you’re not just getting a product—you’re getting a piece made with care.
